Me & Myself

My ife is a never ending journey..

Phew! It has been a long time since my last writing. Life had been very hectic and busy and tired and all! I never expect that my life would change drastically ever. There have been so many happy events but there are also many sad things I've encountered over the time. Despite of that, there is always something I want to share and remember forever.

1. My Solemnization Day (10 September 2011)

My day begins with a beautiful morning. I had butterflies in my stomach from the night before but i admit it, I can't stop to wear a smile. My solemnization was a small event. We invited our close family from my mother's and father's side, a few neighbours and closest friends only to witness the ceremony. At around 2.15 pm, we went to Surau Darus-Syakirin and the ceremony begins with a short sermon on husband's and wife's responsibilities. It is followed by the Ijab and Qabul between my father and Amir and I was officially someone's wife; Amir Shaiful Bahar's with two lafaz. After that, he handed me the mahar and those who witness the event congratulate us afterward and gave their prayers. I received a lot of hugs from my family and friends and at one point I feel like want to cry. It was a very warm occasion and heartfelt because at that moment I could see that everyone is happy for us and this is our dream come true.

This event was followed by a wedding reception at my husband's house on the next day.

2. Solemnization of Shima and Our Wedding Reception (25 December 2011)

Not many is as lucky as me because I got to share this day with my lovely sister and my best friend, Shima. The only difference is she had her solemnization on this day. The day was also a perfect and bright day. Two days before the big event, my neighbours had already preparing and helping my family here and there. They joined their hands together and put their best in making this event so special. I salute and thank them all for that because we had the best decorations, fresh and amazing food and it was all beyond my imagination and expectation! And so, again, thank you everyone. Thank you.

My father pick the theme for this event. And the theme is silver/grey. At first i have trouble with the outfit because every boutique I went, they all had ran out of silver wedding outfit but again I was lucky to have my mother, my foster mother and my aunt, Bibik Hanim to gave their opinion and helped me out (I love you all). And after I consulted them, I decided to wear a sky blue wedding outfit and a cream/white dress later and I never regret that. It was beautiful, it fits perfectly with silver/grey and I looked really good in blue! Plus, it is also one of my dream to wear blue on my wedding day because blue is my favourite colour! It was a beautiful, beautiful, perfect and amazing day!

And not to forget, we also had 5 pretty flower girls and 2 handsome flower boys! So nice! Also I had my foster sister, Atikah as my maid of honor which make this day more special.

3. Outdoor Photo Shoots

Many thanks to Atikah, Ameen, Asri and Ijan for having an outing with us and have the pleasure to take our pictures. One day we will gather together again and we'll sure to treat you. All of you.

4. Honeymoon @Cameron Highland

This is our first honeymoon since we had become husband and wife. We stayed at Century Pines Resort in Tanah Rata for two nights with RM210 per night. The hotel was nice, the room was beautiful and the view was nice. The only problem with me is the temperature. Cameron Highland was too cold for me at that time! It's good that I've prepared everything that I need! Ha! But, anyway, the overall experiences was a five star experiences!! We had nice time together along with my newly wed sister and her husband!

5. Pregnancy

I found out that I am pregnant when I was two weeks late for my menstrual. We bought a pregnancy test and the result was positive. We were shocked because we didn't plan for it but Amir cried happily. At first I had this mix feelings of worries and 'I'm not ready yet' but as time passes by and with the strong support from my husband, I am gradually happy with this gift. And I also learn to love our child day by day and it's still growing. Anyway, anyhow, even though I live far from my husband and family but, I have never experienced any problem during my pregnancy and it is another blessing from Allah S.W.T. Alhamdulillah. And last week, we did an ultrasound scanning, and we saw our child moving and kicking!! I felt like want to laugh out loud and cry at the same moment and so do Amir. I realize at that moment, that this is another dream come true. Life is truly a gift.

Conclusion
At first I also want to share my sad and unfortunate events along this time, but nah.. With all the great stuff happened, why should I wandering and hanging around that?? I would like to see life on the bright side towards a bright future!! And I have one good advise to everybody who read this : love won't last unless you create memories of your love! So, please do continue to create memories with your love ones! And I'm looking forward to that!

- Yoda (from The Empire Strikes Back)
